Not So Great
A long time fan of George R. R. Martina's A Song of Ice and Fire, I was looking forward to its expansion in other areas along w/ the Game of Thrones television show on HBO. However, I cannot recommend enough staying away from this podcast. The longest running podcast dealing with the material but certainly not the best. It would probably be better but host Mimi who is absolutely horrendous regulates all others to re-occurring guest hosts. It doesn't get my total full on hate though because there are some interesting topics that are discussed but this is more to do w/ great source material and nothing to do with the podcast. Also be warned, OAW's Larry Williams who once was a great reviewer for the TV series but now seems to not be able to get anything right when discussing the show(& refuses to take any criticisms for it) has made multiple appearances. This one is a pass. Dire Donkeys > House Manwoody

Great show. I love to listen to these guys discuss the books and the series. They have the right mix of humor and in-depth discussion. The entire group knows their stuff.

The varied selection of hosts are all very likable and, crucially, all of them know more about the books than most of the listeners so I'm always learning something new or gaining a new perspective. Sometimes the Game of Thrones episodes can be a bit too beholden to the books and unfair to the...Read full review »
