Do you love *everything* about HBO's "A Game of Thrones"? Are you easily offended? If you answered "yes" to either question, perhaps this is not the podcast for you. If you love the books, don't mind hearing that the TV show isn't perfect, and don't have sensitive, virgin ears, slap on a pair of headphones by all means. You'll be among friends. The podcast crew takes the material and podcast seriously but not too seriously, so what you'll get is a fantastic mix of knowledge, insight, and humor. Don't make the mistake of thinking they hate the TV show (they really do love it), but don't expect them to gloss over legitimate reasons to complain about it. Their focus is the book series, after all. The tangents and crass humor are what makes listening to APOIAF feel like you're with a group of friends as opposed to listening to someone tell you what you should think about something. I gave it a valiant effort but Mimi domineers all discussions with sexually insecure posturing and annoying side conversations and the sound of her voice is starting to make...Read full review »
