You guys are snarky and amusing geeks!
Hello gang, I started this series in 2009. I've been listening to them on my iPod as I work too darn much and am in my car so much it's the best way to use my time. Anyway, I am a sci-fi/fantasy fan having read many series. My all time favorite to this day is Ursula K. LeGuin's The Wizard of Earthsea Series. HOWEVER, ASOIAF is totally one of my favs now and I picked it up just on a whim one day. And now I am addicted to it like mind-crack. I try to be easy on George because I would rather him take a decade to write a good book versus just giving us something that doesn't hold up. So your podcast is a blast. It's very geeky. I like all thinks geeky. I went in blind to this series and did not even know loads of folk were angry with poor George for no last book. Thus, the first book was like losing my "maiden head" as I had no freakin' idea what was going to happen. But now that I know Eddard dies, I knew Sean Bean had to be cast before they annouced it. He rarely plays anyone who lives. :>) Since the first book, I have Wiki'ed, IMDB'd and other internet work to get spoilers and learn about this universe. I've stretched out listening to the books so that I would not finish the last and be angry like the mob. I'm just finishing book 3! I've got 2 other friends reading it now that the HBO special is coming up in April. I love having people to geek out with! It's like one of your podcasts with less people and no SKYPE. Keep up the good work! My fav characters (thus far)- Davos, Tyrion & The Hound The Hardest Death (thus far)-Catelyn's death at the Red Wedding Most hated character- Joffrey Lannister Most annoying characters- Hodor and Sansa Craziest characters- Viserys Targaryen & Walder Fray Good times! They are the reason why I listen. Mimi because she's funny and I have a thing for Asians, but mainly because Chase's opinions are interesting and some of the best debates have been because if him. The others are great too, but everyone has their favs. my 2 ¥.
