Deep insights from the actual people involved
Fascinating podcast where the people in charge, as well as Lyse Doucet herself, bear witness to how we got here. Very insightful and humane. Lyse Doucet is beyond doubt one of the BBC’s brightest minds and best journalists. She gets to the heart of the matter and adds a human and personal touch. “I want to be her when I grow up.” (Too late now.) Unmissable podcast for anyone who cares about international affairs.

More reviews of A Wish for Afghanistan
Sad that Doucet only spoke to her friends, the only realistic person was the Doctor, the rest were just the usual corrupt, Who leave when it doesn’t suit them and usually with money, the taliban are a sad example of all these religious superstitions that cause so much grief in the world.

Thank you for your podcast. Utterly fascinating. Interesting and worrying for the people left behind who have enjoyed freedom.

Love Afghanistan and its people working there during the Taliban time and after. I enjoy your reporting Lyse Doucet and that of Kate Clark because I feel how much you love it too… I look forward to future episodes…..
