Most Authoritative Journalist Around
There is NO ONE with more on the ground experience than Lyse. I met Lyse in Peshawar when she was just starting. She was already a pro then. Her insights, compassion, and sound knowledge then and now after so many years now are unrivaled. I’ll be circulating this podcast among my NGO colleagues who were on the Pakistan-Afghan border in the late 80s. Congratulations Lyse. Well done! And please stay safe.

What a beautiful and enlightening series from someone who has seen the whole saga first hand. Truly a pleasure to listen from such as authoritative source and the music. The music truly brought me to tears as I heard the tragic stories!

Love Afghanistan and its people working there during the Taliban time and after. I enjoy your reporting Lyse Doucet and that of Kate Clark because I feel how much you love it too… I look forward to future episodes…..
