“I listened to the first episode, sitting in a school for work, and found myself crying at the sound of Blake’s voice. Not two days ago, I was speaking with a friend about abandoned spaces and reminded of the times we would drive down Roller Coaster Road in Colorado Springs, holding hands at night in the trees, just trying to muster up the courage to walk into an horrifying house on a school night. And then, of course, deciding to go back in the daytime.
These last few years have the most difficult. Blake’s acknowledgement of the struggle during the pandemic and finding solace in broken spaces was something I did not realize I needed. Being able to hear this podcast made me feel close to friends of the past. Our imaginations running wild, skipping class to daydream, and the comfort of silence drenched in nostalgia. Thank you, Blake, for bringing peace into my day that was buzzing with sorrow.
