“I love Last Podcast on the left but I’m wondering… is that perhaps all because of Henry Zebrowski? Marcus Parks is a smart guy and can be funny as well, but it looks like Ben Kissel is only the “straight man” on LPOTL because he’s just… not that smart? I just listened to an entire episode of “analysis” and “commentary” after the Indiana primaries, and not only did Kissel completely dominate the conversation, he did so with apparently no understanding of even recent political history. He completely missed discussing anything about racism in terms of the right’s objections to Obama and Trump’s rise (I believe he talked about nationalism, but that’s not the same thing..) He comes off like someone who keeps up with the political news enough to get the most obvious major themes, but whose critical thinking and analytical skills are at the same level as a nice guy you meet in a bar…. Sorry Ben… I love LPOTL but after listening to three recent shows of this podcast, I honestly just find it boring and unoriginal and honestly not very funny. (Wait, is it supposed to be funny? If not, then I’m sorry for criticizing it on that level!)”
