“Clearly I’m not an East Asian American listener. It seemed as though all three of them are Chinese who are assumed to be a representation of all Asian American woman. It would be GREAT if they had like a south Asian or southeast Asian guest to speak about their experiences. I feel like this podcast is a growing movement for most Asian American woman, but it definitely lacks the the diversity of what it means to be an Asian American woman in this podcast.
Looks and appearances seemed to be quite noticeable as well. But I’m assuming that is the LA culture life which is stereotypically known for having a certain physical image to thrive.
Also, the latest episode (Episode 45) in particular felt very rushed, which they did mention they were “going out for the night”. It was not as relaxed and deeply thought out as it usually would. I was expecting more from their last episode of that season (since they often take quite a long break from the podcast). Now I’m wondering if they will continue to keep this up with future episodes.
