Fascinating & beautifully produced
This is the brilliantly told true story of the production of vast amounts of the world’s LSD from a farmhouse in Wales. Told sensitively and slightly irreverently by Rhys Ifans - as brilliant as ever - it also has the voices of some of the actual people as well as the words of the main protagonist, Christine Bott, perfectly read by an actress (whose name I’ve forgotten as I write this!). It’s all underlined by a fabulous and appropriate backdrop of sounds and music. It’s a gripping and intriguing story which I thoroughly enjoyed, and hats off to the production team for putting together such a great sound. My only criticism is the cliffhanger it finishes on - surely there will be an episode 6 to tie up that one loose end? But don’t let that put you off. I highly recommend it - even if, like me, you’ve never taken drugs in your life!

I’ve really enjoyed this podcast. I don’t live very far away from the events in the story, but I never knew about them! I hope this podcast gets made into a film one day. This series is incredibly well researched and put together beautifully with Rhys Ifans’ narration and a great musical score....Read full review »
