A gift and suggestions
Dear Tiffany, From one Black Queen to another…Brave!!! You are doing a wonderful job and lead with integrity, compassion and humor. My name is Tara. I’m a 50 year old proud lesbian and Spelman Alumna who who is returning to the states after teaching abroad for a year in Casablanca, Morocco. My died in February and your podcast has been a soothing balm that i didn’t know I needed. You have mentioned that you are open to bringing on guests who are also listeners. I have two ideas I hope may pique your interest. Would you consider having a cross intersectional conversation with guests of different sexual orientations? I have not heard another podcast delve into the commonalities and differences that make Black women on this spectrum so unique. Additionally, would you be open to speaking with Alumni from an HBCU and a PWI to explore our experiences in undergrad and post graduation? I would love to represent the older generation for either conversation. I completely understand if either are not viable, but as my grandmother would often remind me, “A close mouth doesn’t get fed.” I excited for your upcoming conversations. I would love an opportunity to share my perspective. Wishing you continued success. Warm regards, Tara
