Marvel Comics' Doctor Strange possesses a vast array of magical abilities, including invocations of powerful entities, manipulation of time, astral projection, and various psionic powers, significantly exceeding the scope of his MCU counterpart. While the MCU's Doctor Strange has displayed impressive feats, his power relies heavily on external artifacts like the Time Stone, and his abilities are not as extensive as his comic book equivalent's. The comic book version has demonstrated greater control over time and more destructive power, like planetary destruction. The MCU's Strange, however, still has potential for growth and the exhibition of further abilities in future appearances.
