“Love Oenone’s podcast but really disappointed to see an episode sponsored by Oatly and using their “speak to Dad” toxic marketing. Their latest marketing campaign has now been corrected due to their misuse of statistics and incorrect claims about the impact of transport vs animal agriculture on GHG emissions. Seeing another influencer buying in to their simplistic narrative about farming practices is really disappointing- they are a huge company who unfortunately are using a marketing strategy that slams everyone else, rather than sell their product on its own merits. There are even oat farmers condemning their latest campaign (and FYI their oats are imported, as are the calcium and vitamins that they use to fortify the product). If you want to buy oat milk use a different company, not Oatly.”
