I love this show so much.
I highly recommend this show if you have any interest in the outdoors. The stories of exotic journeys and life changing treks are well worth listening to, but I was surprised by what moved me most. My favorite episode (so far because there are so many I haven’t listened to) was with Alastair Humphreys. It really got me to rethink thought patterns of mine. I have a 9-5 type job and I spend so much of my time fantasizing about my next big trip. But the episode caused me to reflect on the idea of a micro adventure. Since then I’ve been focused on exploring my area, and learning to be more present rather than constantly existing in a future state that’s months away. While I do look forward to the big adventures I have planned, I’m also excited about exploring my city/state on my days off. I’ll say it again: I love this show so much, and I still have hundreds and hundreds of episodes to listen to!
