Nerds LARPing as jocks
Don’t waste your time on this. The AFL evidently don’t take the podcasting medium seriously and have opened up hosting duties to whoever wanted it. These 3 wannabes do their best impression of the Triple M RUB team, but without the credibility, less charisma and, somehow, worse opinions. And I’m not a fan of the boysclub on Triple M. Prewritten “jokes” that never land yet they all giggle at, cringeworthy “joshing” of each other and zero insight: just a complete mess. Typical analysis will go like this: Host 1: “Melbourne, pretenders, will be found out come finals time” Host 2: “Found out will they?” Host 1: “They’ll be found out like Bill Clinton and Monika Lewinsky” Host 2: *giggles* Host 3: Over to our next segment, which footy player would be most at home on the set of Baywatch? I’m going Bailey Smith. These are guys who were never first picked, but desperately want to be friends with the boys, but were probably a bit chubby. Nothing against them personally, maybe if they actual did some research and provided some insight it might get better, but boys, you’re not comedians and the blokey charade is pure cringe. Do not recommend.

I enjoyed this podcast initially, but got sick of it pretty quickly due to the hosts' insistance on talking about themselves rather than actual AFL news at every opportunity. Seriously, you'll hear more about the flight one of them took to get to a game rather than the game itself. There...Read full review »
