Too many angles at once.
I wish there was less sci fi in this. I think a book about the aftermath of another American civil war would be interesting enough, but the addition of technologically enhanced humans and the detailed focus on different substances is a frustrating distraction. I look forward to Sascha’s chapters and groan through Roland’s chapters.

One star for the laughable idea that Conservative Texans get beat by Twig armed lefties. But if that floats your boat, go for it. If it doesn’t go find a better podcast drama. I’d recommend Marvel’s Wastelanders: Old Man Star Lord.
