A story that really needs to be told.
Thank you so much for focusing an entire season on the faulty system we have in this country for not only caring for people with developmental disabilities, but also respecting who they are and valuing their incredible strengths. I am a board-certified music therapist who works with a lot of wonderful folks in residential homes just like those mentioned in the show. It is really refreshing to hear such a well-researched podcast that cares enough to include the preferred language of the neurodiversity movement. Amazing work!
