Overly Simplistic Dramatization Detracts from the Story and the Facts
I feel the story would be better told by sticking to the facts and minimizing the dramatization. Interviews with the people in the story could enhance it instead. For a dramatization, the script came across as painfully stilted, simplistic and cliche. If the intended audience is adults, the script needs a major overhaul. If written by high school kids for a high school audience, it’s perhaps a decent start to learning how to write.

More reviews of Against The Odds
I listen to a lot of podcasts, but rarely am moved to write a review. This is SO WELL DONE. The reporting is excellent and the storytelling is excellent. So suspenseful and compelling. I couldn’t stop listening. I’m just sad I have to wait for the next episode- I want it now!

I love true stories, and have a particular interest in survival tales. I was drawn in by the first four-part series on the Thai cave rescue, which I listen to on Wondery. Looking forward to hearing future stories of perseverance and survival.
