“Never heard of this show before but it had an intriguing premise so I decided to spend 45 min of my life taking a chance and listened to the whole first episode. What a mistake!! For a show that purports to be about fairness this was one of the most one sided reports on any topic that I’ve heard in a long time.
The entire show was an apology fest for poor put-upon NBA refs who are just trying to do their best and who are being unfairly judged by elitist athletes and coaches and sycophant fans who have no idea how hard it is to be paid $150-500K for half a year’s work (at best). At no point in the entire show was any credence what-so-ever given to the other side of the argument, namely that perhaps a significant portion of these refs might actually be incompetent and unable to do the job they are paid extremely well to do.
This was a one-side lambasting of fans and players. If this is any indication of the quality of this show or the clear bias in the reporting all its going to do is strengthen the unfairness in the world. It certainly isn’t going to generate thoughtful conversation. What a waste of a great opportunity.”
