“One thing is clear that Mike Stelzner doesn’t care about social media anymore but won’t give up his company. So instead he used it for his first idea of the horrible Web 3.0/NFT nonsense where he was posting about “slurp juice” as if that was something to be taken seriously and not a con in and of itself.
Now he has moved on to AI without realizing that this is just like when numbers were fudged in the “pivot to video” era of social media, where the increased belief that there is a need for AI will ultimately lead to his target audience of marketers losing their jobs because companies will mistakenly believe AI will do better. What he is championing is the downfall of his audience.
At one time, Social Media Examiner and Social Media Marketing World were so important to me, but its founder is susceptible to being grifted (to this day he is blaming the collapse of FTX as opposed to accepting most if not all of Web3.0/NFTs were fraud) and unfortunately his mastermind group must also be made up of other grifters just trying to see what they can cash in on now that the screws have tightened on social media marketing compared to the early wild west days.
I get the desire to chase something new, but it was a huge mistake to drag the good thing he had going into it and not just let that exist on its own unsullied. And please don’t misconstrue me as a troll or even a hater like Jay Baer would say you should hug. I’m someone who believed in what he was doing but his wandering eye has caused irreparable damage to the company he built.”
