Mark Trahant is the Atwood Chair of Journalism at UAA, a member of Idaho's Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and the former president of the Native American Journalists Association. He is the author of "The Last Great Battle of the Indian Wars" and worked as major contributor on the Frontline series "The Silence." In this talk, he will explain the importance of the Affordable Care Act, which opens for enrollment Oct. 1, and its meaning for Alaska Natives. This is a great opportunity for all Alaskans to learn about health care access in the state.
