Description
This episode is an interview with Hari Budha Magar, a double-amputee-above the-knee who will be climbing Mount Everest this year. He lost his legs from an IED while he was in the Gurkha unit in Afghanistan.
Updates - "Finding Michael" is coming out March 3 on Disney Plus UK/ Europe. Tibet will officially remain closed to foreign climbers. The ice doctors will be heading out to Everest soon.
During our interview, Hari and I talk about his growing up in Nepal, joining the Gurkhas and how he lost his legs. He had a very dark period after losing his legs. He was given the opportunity to go skydiving and this jump started his passion for climbing when he realized that he could do anything that someone with two legs could. In 2022, he trekked to base camp and this year he will be summitting Mt. Everest.
