Description
Katie talks with her Food Network co-host of The Kitchen, Sunny Anderson. They reminisce about their audition for the hit series, in which they had to give a how-to on making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The two share more hilarious and heartfelt memories on the show, including Sunny's emotional response when Katie announced she was pregnant with Iris.
Sunny discusses her fascinating past of growing up in a military family and living abroad in Europe and Asia. Her international experience inspires many of her recipes, she loves a fusion mashup and mixing things up! Prior to being on Food Network, she was in the Air Force and is a proud veteran.
Sunny gives all of her top cooking tips including her love of microwave rice and beans, pb and j wings (yum!), "cookies on tap," and her favorite red velvet cake from her grandma. She also tells us about her home, "Rescue Mountain," where she lives with her man and family of rescue animals, and has an impressive garden. She grows everything from kale to corn and makes her own dried herbs and spices.
Listen in for an episode full of laughs and delicious moments as Katie and Sunny share so many nostalgic moments from working together for over 10 years on The Kitchen.
