Marriage is a vital part of OUR LIVES AS Muslims. In fact, marriage is so important in  Islam that it is declared to be one half of one’s Deed, faith  ALLAH -SWT-  Said: “And one of His signs is that He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest in them and He put between you love and compassion; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect." (30:21) There are 4 Components in Islam for marriage to have occurred or valid: Consent, Wallee (Guardian), witness, and Mahr (Dowry)  All Sisters Halaqa Association  (ASHA ) is one of the Programs of Women's Health First, a Nonprofit organization with the mission of strengthening communities by promoting the health and wellbeing of women through public health education and promotion.
