Thank you, Anderson
Your podcast is a blessing. You words have brought back my memories of my mom. I was her only child and she died in 2005, four months before her 90th birthday. I think I appreciate her life and the sacrifices she made for me more as the days go by.My father divorced her when I was two and she raised me by herself - she didn’t drive, had no income, but owned her house, the one I was raised in. She found creative ways to support us - baby sat, converted half the house into an apartment that she rented to soldiers from Mitchell Field Air Force base and I’m sure she had a little help from family, who lived in Brooklyn and wanted her to come back there - but she held her ground and became the strong woman I now appreciate. I should write a book some day about her life, but she always told me, “we all have a story” and yours, Anderson is so interesting and heartfelt. Thank you!! I look forward to more!!
