Thank you!
Hello Anderson—Thank you for doing this podcast. I lost my mother when she was just shy of 95 in January 2021. She was a diehard New Yorker since the age of 14 and part of that generation of women, like your mother, who fully embraced life and always kept on going no matter what. She told me how much she enjoyed your reporting and how she had crossed paths with your mother at parties, etc in the 1940s. Unfortunately, she didn’t give me any details. Your podcast has resonated with me as my brother and I are in the throes of dealing with her apartment replete with 56 years of memories, thousands of books, photos, LPs, letters, etc. I too think of Marie Kondo—easier said than done! I also remember my mother urging me to the very last “to keep on moving.” I look forward to your next episodes. Best wishes in pursuing this journey.

As Anderson said, loss and grief are among the most universal of human experiences. It’s time to take the stigma away from having difficult and emotional conversations. This podcast can make a real difference!
