In episode 7 we are joined by Cllr Maurice Mcleod on Dyslexia & BAME:  Becoming your best Self during COVID 19 part 1   Maurice is the Chief Executive of Race on the Agenda. He has been a life-long anti-racism campaigner and has extensive experience working in the voluntary sector, the private sector and for national newspapers.   Maurice’s 25-year career in journalism has seen him write on politics, society, race and current affairs for the Voice, the Guardian, The Express, The Independent and The Spectator. He is one of only two black Councillors of the 60 elected to serve on Wandsworth Council where he represents the Queenstown area of Battersea.   He was one of the directors of the influential media platform Media Diversified and was Communications Manager at NCVO. He is an expert communicator and appears regularly on LBC,TalkRadio and the BBC talking about race and society.  Maurice is well networked in the political world while keeping active in local grassroots campaigning.   Maurice is dyslexic and so is his daughter.    Connect with Cllr Maurice Mcleod Twitter @mowords   This podcast is funded by the London Community Fund.
