This story brought a lot of very real, very painful experiences in my past to surface again; it so clearly frames the experience of love, betrayal, grief, shame, anger, and repression of those memories. It’s simple in narration, but that’s why it’s so powerful. I loved the line that said something to the effect of “those who know what heartbreak is know that words can’t even begin to define it.” Listening to this can remind you that you’re not alone in your journey of that heartbreak, one of the biggest struggles when you already feel so lost. There’s still reflecting to do on my part now that I’ve listened.

I feel our storytellers pain, the beginning episode 7 made tears flow, the devastation is real and the thoughts and feelings described are intense. I'm not done with the series yet but Michelle has my attention. Thank you for the honesty and transparency.Read full review »
