AM
Self obsessed
I’m a regular listener to AM, a mostly trusted source with a good host in Sabra. But on occasions the reportage is infuriatingly blind to the bigger picture. Prompted to write today to respond to the wail about cuts to the abc (described as “vandalism “)and loss of abc jobs - all extremely tragic- but the insensitivity to the massive cuts the abc has just announced to its own COMMISSIONED PRODUCTION thereby impacting on the film and tv production sector. Today AM wasted the opportunity to discuss the likely impact of the ABC’s own decision to cut the external production sector with Arts minister Paul Fletcher on the program to discuss the government’s long awaited support to this same external production sector.

More reviews of AM
For expats or or others this is literally what’s happening in Australia’s capital city. There is NO zeitgeist without AM. THANKYOU to the generations of presenters writers and producers.

Always loved this show but since the switch to individual stories I frequently found myself skipping the “dull” ones, and sometimes, the entire program. Much prefer the whole program format. Welcome back to my morning AM!
