“Dr McCullough and Malcolm: Your June 16 discussion of transgender phenomenon is a textbook case of Steve Irwin Syndrome. He was expert with crocodiles so somehow he allowed himself to believe that it could possibly make sense for him to swim with a stingray , that killed him. Re: the transgender phenomenon, the data is unfortunately scant, but “transgender” kids have mostly been molested/abused at home. I cannot imagine a more harmful thing to say to such a child than “You’re so beautiful as you are,” etc, etc, etc. You two made incalculably valuable contributions with COVID. Please … don’t be like Steve Irwin. Please … don’t allow yourselves to opine on things that you really, really, really do not know anything about. Snap out of it, fellas. Seriously.
