This is a great podcast. However, as a clinical geneticist, I was looking forward for more medical examples, ie.. how you can reduced the risk of certain cancer by knowing about a family mutation, discussion about preimplantation genetics. I felt that the series ended ona sour note, the information left could have add to the beauty that its genetics. Regarding your fictional case, since alkaptonuria is almost exclusively diagnosed in newborn screening, in the future, it’s most likely than the doctor offer CRISPR before mother noticed the dark urine. I enjoyed this very much, I am looking forward to learn more about nuclear energy. Thanks!
