“Stating that indentured servants had a harder time than slaves was a weird choice that I’m not sure is rooted in any particular fact. Stating that slavery was a life sentence as property to slaves and their children while minimizing their struggles is tone deaf and calling them “blacks” is loaded with derogatory undertones.”
