“This show is unparalleled in terms of its quality. Mr. Jekeliek has ruined me for other long-form interview style shows. His guests have the most thought-provoking, rational perspectives. I also appreciate how calm he is as a host and that he lets people finish their thoughts without interruption. This show isn’t about fear-mongering, anger-stoking, or inflammatory rhetoric. It’s just really high quality conversation. Because of the skill of the interviewer, the listener gets to hear directly from expert guests without Jan’s biases and filters dominating the conversation, which I really appreciate. He is so restrained and thoughtful, and it’s impressive.
The Epoch Times is really head and shoulders above the rest in terms of journalism right now. I find their marketing to be off-putting, which is why it took me so long to start consuming their content. However, once I started listening/reading, I could see that they are one of the few news outlets trying to show multiple angles of a story without pushing a hidden agenda. They obviously have their values and priorities, but they’re transparent about them and still remain committed to telling a story without spin. I have come to trust their journalism, even if I don’t always agree with the editorials, the comments on articles themselves from readers, etc.
