“Hey Geoff and Alex, I really enjoy listening to your podcast when I’m biking to work. Every Wednesday I’m excited about the new episode. I’m happy that I stumbled upon your podcast a little over 8 month ago. I’m an expat living in Berlin myself. I moved to Germany from Ukraine last year during pandemic, frankly speaking it was an interesting time to move to a new country. I just wanted to bring one thing to your attention. In the last episode (72) about your favorite travel destinations, Geoff recommend visiting Ukraine, which I totally agree with and am very grateful for recommending it, but he also said that Ukraine is kind of in the state of civil war, which made me upset. That is totally not true. Ukraine is in the undeclared state of war with russia, there’s no civil war in Ukraine, I just want to point that out, please do not spread the misinformation and help russian propaganda by doing so. I understand that as an outsider it might be hard to understand what’s actually happening in Ukraine, but please take my word for it as a Ukrainian. As I said I love your podcast and don’t have any hard feelings, but things like that are just very sensitive for me. I wish you success and a lot more episodes 🙂.
