“Like all slate podcasts, this one is well made and well researched. The host, like most other Slate hosts who aren’t Mike Pesca, is not trained for radio. So her voice takes a little getting used to but the content of what she has to say makes that process easy and quick. More often than not their guest is the attorney for the party bringing the case. It’s really nice to have the guest be someone with an intimate knowledge of the case but it does sometimes feel a little skewed. I don’t always feel like I get enough of idea of what the opposing argument is - even with all the clips from the Justices. Still, it’s water on parched land because this really is the only way short of listening to the long official recording of the arguments to get more than a sound bite audio analysis of the cases before the court.”
