I love this podcast maybe partly because it is the first podcast or radio show or anything I have found on the topic. I think this show is contributing to setting the definition of open water swimming. I am a long time beach/ocean lifeguard, surfer, and kayaker so I’ve learned to and taught others to swim, rescue, and self rescue with confidence in a lot of water environments including dangerous currents and changing temperatures. I always found getting in the water daily in any form to be helpful for me, and secretly, I just like the swimming part the best. So it has been a joy to hear the guests on this podcast talk about wild open water swimming with such interest and variability. I learned some things, and the idea and world of open water swimming opened wider for me from this podcast.

Great podcast. There’s a good range of guests from celebs to Olympians to everyday people who just love swimming. The stories the guests share would resonate with anyone - whether you’ve swum the channel or barely even dip your toe in the sea on holiday! Keep up the good work!

A really down to earth interview with someone who has, almost inadvertently, created an organisation - Salty Seabirds - which has touched thousands of people’s lives in such a...Read full review »
