“I discovered your fantastic podcast a few days ago and have been avidly listening ever since. I first read The Hobbit & LOTR over 25 years ago and must’ve read LOTR at least 20 times since then. While it may sound a little strange to some others, being able to engross myself in Tolkien’s writings has been one of the greatest and most fulfilling experiences of my life and I can’t wait to introduce the books to my children, as soon as they’re old enough to appreciate them fully.
I’m a photographer, so spend a lot of my time in my office editing photos and these podcasts have been the perfect companion to my work. Whilst the LOTR movies (sorry, this doesn’t include The Hobbit films!) are an incredible cinematic achievement, it’s fantastic to listen to two like-minded Tolkien fans discuss the intricate, finer details of ‘The Book Of The Century’, which the films, whilst amazing, could never quite convey to their fullest. The cavernous depth of Tolkien’s writings and the majestic power of some of Middle-Earth’s inhabitants are the true wonder of that world, for me.”
