E28. Should Christians Study the Book of Enoch? (Chapters 1-5)
Description
Many people wonder whether they should study the Book of Enoch since it's not found in the bible. But that really depends on which bible you're referencing.
The Book of Enoch has been preserved for millennia inside the Ethiopian Bible - which is considered the oldest bible on earth. It was also discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls which were written over 200 years before Christ. So it was clearly considered valuable enough to be preserved alongside their most precious texts. It was also quoted in the New Testament by Jude, the brother of Jesus!
So although it may not have been considered "divinely inspired" by the early church fathers, there is quite a lot of evidence to suggest that it was highly regarded in ancient times. Not to mention that it was written for OUR generation!
