Almost five stars
I would give this five stars but am deducting one for Elinor. Nothing annoys me more than actual play personalities that do not take the time to learn how to play the game they are playing. At the one year mark that’s more than enough time to have read the game rules through… several times even. I’ve never played Starfinder and I know the rules better than her. An actor that doesn’t research their character is going to deliver a terrible performance and actual play is no different. I don’t know what she brings to the table and I suspect that’s why then bring Sydney later. She takes no initiative other than moving her token ahead of everyone else and whenever someone makes a move her response is “I listen too!” Or “I’ll help”. DO SOMETHING! I’m at episode 93 and I’m looking forward to Sydney joining. Elinor makes female role players look bad. Always asking the others what she can do, if she can do it, is it ok if she does it. I’m glad they did not put her on any other games as she’s clearly not in her element. And she’s just not entertaining to listen to. GCN needs more female energy in their actual plays but they need to start with competent players.

Great group with even greater chemistry. Been listening to them for years after a friend showed me their podcast. Quality has only gone up since.

No surprise, given the pedigree, but three episodes in and it’s already top of its class for Starfinder actual play podcasts. Great players, characters, GM, and production values.
