Description
In this episode I was joined by Pei Feng Su, the founder of ACTAsia, to talk about her autobiography which has just been published. Life of Pei: The Battle for Compassion takes us through Pei’s life from traumatic teenage years to her investigative work with the World Society for the Protection of Animals to the founding of ACTAsia, which aims to promote compassion for animals, people and the environment through visionary education programmes. Pei has a unique perspective on both East and West and her book describes how animals, and indeed humans, are impacted by cultural norms in Asia that people in the West might not understand or appreciate. ACTAsia have won many awards for their ground-breaking work and it was a real pleasure to talk to the author of a book that I enjoyed so much. https://www.actasia.org/ https://www.actasia.org/about-us/peis-bio/ https://lanternpm.org/book/life-of-pei/ Live book launch on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ACTAsiaEducation/videos/1294997104750728 Follow Pei: LinkedIn @actasia Instagram @actasia @peisu_ Facebook @actasia @pei f. su https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/apr/11/farm-animals-and-humans-should-be-treated-the-same-children-say Featured Music: Uniqueness by Vlad Gluschenko | https://soundcloud.com/vgl9Music promoted by https://www.free-stock-music.comCreative Commons / Attribution 3.0 Unported License (CC BY 3.0)https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/deed.en_US See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
