OBSESSED WITH THESE GUYS
Without a doubt the single most life changing podcast you will ever subscribe to . . . . . . K I will admit that even to this Disney drama king that sounds over the top but let’s consider the evidence. Three friends, each renowned experts in their field; Chelsea the multi faceted entertainer (singer! writer! dancer!), Morgan the business tycoon (soon to be head honcho at yet to be announced internet start up due for bazillion IPO listing in the next quarter) and Mason the artist (animator! designer! robot awesome builder man!!!); relaxing on the couch and talking their passion – animation. And by animation we don’t mean nonsense technical jargon or complicated graph breakdowns of performance numbers week by week. Heck no! We’re talking the classics, the recent past, the current present and oh so exciting future of films, movies or whatever else you may call em. Disney!!!!! Pixar!!!! Ghibli!!!! DreamWorks!!!! Bluth!!!!! SWAN PRINCESS (I know that’s not technically a studio but the podcast covering that one was so epic it deserves caps and loads of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Every conceivable output of animation in its multiple forms these guys will cover it. Cover it they do. Each episode is packed with a natural banter of actual friends. Filled with humor, jokes and quotes. Get your Aladdin / Beauty & the Beast / Meet the Robinsons / Little Mermaid / Robin Hood hats on for these “quotable quotes” as they come thick and fast. The deep satisfaction of catching reference here and there knowing its gone over most people’s heads is gratifying. Also watch out for a few Lady Gaga references from Morgan, a secret Little Monster, I wonder if Mason or Chelsea picked up on the “I don’t speak German but I can if you like” statement in the 50th anniversary Snow White show??! In the opening sentence of this review I referenced it as “life changing” and though this may not be in a traditionally big way (sadly listening to these guys will not triple your bank account, give you a green card or turn you back into a mermaid) it will lift your spirits in the little ways that actually mean so very much to everyone trying to get through the day – lifting your spirits by reminding you of the joy, music and story that animation takes us to. Walking to school and tired of the bullies who don’t get you? These three geeks embrace their uniqueness and have a legion of fans to prove its ok to be Disney different. Like Mulan, always be “true to your heart”. Fed up with the explicit warning on every podcast or feed (cause it’s so cool to swear now in everything)? The clean cut crew running the show display how manners and etiquette can be practiced. The blue fairy told Pinoch that he had to “choose between right & wrong”. Down hearted with never having your fav reply your tweet or comment? The Rotoscopers team is beyond dedicated and plugged into their fan base, it’s sick. Send em a voicemail and feature on an episode. Uhuh I kid you not rabid fans. Fo reals!!!! Why?? Cause same as Buzz & Woody “you got a friend in Rotoscopers” Hoping onto a trend or movement after it’s crested?? These guys are just building and the wave is getting huge. Help expand this animation community in a meaningful way. Cinderella had to be reminded that “even miracles take a little time”. I have no idea if Apple put a limit on review length so I shall close this review saying the biggest THANK YOU for (at writing) an amazing fifty one episodes.

The hosts are easy to listen to, and obviously know each other very well. The songs in between sections add a nice, magical touch to the show. The information they reveal about the history of animation is an untapped goldmine. LISTEN TO THIS SHOW!

I love this podcast. The hosts are lively, entertaining, and laughing nonstop. The mini musical interludes really add to the whole "we love animation here" feel, and the snippets of information are interesting, educational, and not huge info dumps. Excellent podcast.Read full review »

I found this podcast after Andrew Sims plugged it on Mugglecast, so I checked it out and really enjoyed it, enough to download most of the previous episodes. The hosts have good chemistry together, they know their subject well so they provide good opinions from both fan and professional...Read full review »
