This week Artsy and I dove into the fantasy world of 2018's Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms. The simplest way to describe this movie is a tale of two coming of age stories: one of a baby boy into a man, and one of an "ageless" young elf-like woman into a caregiver and mature woman. Usually I like to give a bit more in these summaries, but I think this movie is worth the watch, even with it not being my usual choice in anime. Want to join us live?
