Metaphorical swamp of peeled onions
Rohr and cohosts appear to have a bottomless appetite for “unpacking” one metaphor with another metaphor, all the while saying nothing of substance. Beneath the surface of their benevolent interactions surges a deep disdain for Christian orthodoxy. That Rohr’s perennialist ideas are called wise demonstrates how eager we are to have our itching ears tickled. That his teachings are called Christian demonstrates how little people desire to understand orthodoxy. Unfortunately, I couldn’t leave zero stars, so I settled for one.
