Thank you Maria!
Just started to listen and oh my what a work of art!! The beauty of Selena shines on every Latina/o, as well as Hispanics, in this country!! Thank you Maria for your work and dedication to this project, it speaks volumes of our culture and heritage while accurately showcasing Latin Americans living in the United States. I remember watching her on TV in Univision as a kid and feeling the tragedy as if it were the year it occurred. I was born in 1998, after Selena’s death, still no different than 1995 she was still honored and celebrated for her life, achievements, and contributions. We continue to mourn her passing and no year has been different since the year she departed. Selena’s legacy lives forever!! Tremendous love for your work!! Thank you!! 💜💜💜💜💜 -Miriam, a Mexican-American proud Latina, born and raised in Southern California.

I didn’t know I needed this podcast but thank you. Besides being attracted by my life-long icon, the content was so much more. I have cried listening to every episode. It is refreshing to identify with other American Latinx women who have had the same/similar struggles. Thank you.

Seeing her picture all over the news on TV and my mother crying. I can relate to everything you...Read full review »
