“I think it is fascinating to observe these investigators’ process. It shows some police have developed skills to conduct non-coercive, non-violent, patient interrogations of suspected offenders with a pretense of respect and restraint of judging. Every police person in such positions should have this training and be checked periodically by objective evaluators to ensure these high standards are met. More safeguards need to be put in place though to guard against false confessions. The right to lie to a suspect should be abolished.”
