“This trial will be a precedent for free speech and AI, ChatGPT. If every spoken word is protected by free speech, what’s to do when ChatGPT creates statements that are shared? We’ve only just started down the road on AI. AI uses what it’s learned to make conversation. A right wing Chat might only be exposed to their ideology. Are words promoted by this AI also covered by free speech? It is difficult to parse whether conversations are created by AI or human - it will be difficult to prosecute if the point is having to prove that it was not human created words.”
