Nobody does it better…
I’ve followed Ian’s Warhammer antics on YouTube for a few years now and absolutely adore his presentation style and clear enthusiasm and love for this rich universe hit what I admire the most is his self-awareness and realism regarding the hobby - it’s a hobby, a fictional world and nothing more but that in itself, from the way Ian relays it, is so much more than enough. Mira is an excellent pairing to Ian’s sage-like positioning as she, like all of us when we first entered the weird and wonderful (mostly weird) world of Warhammer, approaches everything with an innocence and optimism that is often hilariously dashed by the grimness of the grim dark (FULGRIM!!!). Both hosts bring a wealth of knowledge and insight from beyond the universe and cast interesting and entertaining perspectives on the texts all the while coming coming across as affectionate for storytelling and world building. I eagerly anticipate every episode and generally find them both to be on the money - some novels are amazing and genuinely stand high as great novels and some are less so - and when this is the case, the two of them still entertain. Everything is done with respect. It’s an amazing show.
