“I did fieldwork with Ed in Belize in 1995 as an archaeology undergrad at UT-Austin on a survey team he led when we discovered Ma’ax Na, which I hope Ed covers on a future episode. These podcasts remind me of late nights sitting around a citronella candle where Ed would captivate and engage our young minds with discussions of the Maya, Moche, and others.
