The Cardinals add depth and maybe a trio of defensive starters but the team once again avoids spending the money to sign a real difference maker. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs took advantage of the NFL's new postseason overtime rule and rode the advantage of 'four-down territory' all the way down the field in OT to score the game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl LVIII. The Chiefs won the game 25-22 and afterwards 49ers players admitted they were unclear on the new overtime rules as head coach Kyle Shanahan elected to receive the ball first after the 49ers won the coin toss.
