Amanda deserves better
Amanda has done a lot of good and many people have said that as well but the “difficult black woman narrative” is low hanging fruit and an easy excuse to exclude the people who sacrifice themselves to push progress forward. Shanti’s take on this was refreshing and not biased. Glad she brought up how Jonathan majors is still invited. And Mandi b is often called difficult to work with but that would be an unfair narrative to put on her without context… and she’s not even doing it to empower anything but capitalism and has mostly right leaning views. Duality is a thing… applies to Amanda seals too. I’m sure this episode added to her hurt feelings. But I’m sure she’s used to it by now. Great episode full of good convo and info. Jared kushner is disgusting. The Dems really should used these sounds bites more but they are so bad at messaging. They don’t control the story very well at all.

I love how intentional they are with the topics they want to discuss. They’re not just arbitrarily recording any and everything that comes to mind just to take up podcast space (kudos Antoinette). They’re reactions are raw, which I absolutely LOVE. The only time I squirm is when Shanti may not...Read full review »
