Thoughtful and engaging
I cannot recommend this podcast enough! Allyson intentionally brings a critical lens to their episodes - unpacking socio, political and economic contexts and the way that they affect both the study of art, as well as its production, dissemination and “value”. From how much control an artist has over the interpretation of their art, to colonial violence and museums. Each episode introduces listeners to a new artist, work of art and at least one “big” question in the study of art history. To top it off - this podcast is incredibly well edited. It is clear, succinct and so incredibly engaging. This is one of the only podcasts that I find myself listening to again and again. Bravo, Allyson!

I know very little about art history and this podcast is absolutely captivating! It took me away to another world and I loved it! The host also has an amazing voice that is perfect for story telling!
